The glossary contains a common set of high-level digital terminology for Member Companies, to ensure clarity and consistency in the use of digital terminology within IOGP as we advance our digital initiatives.

Material Digital Passport (MDP)

The Material Digital Passport (MDP) aims to track asset lifecycle in a secured and transparent way through a unique digital space. Each physical equipment will hold a unique MDP that can be initialized by asset providers, verified by anyone and used to improve business workflows.

Industry reference data architecture

IOGP Report 804 ‘Industry reference data architecture’ introduces an industry-wide, foundational framework for digital data platforms and the reference data architecture required to enable digital transformation across the oil and gas industry.
