Engineering and Standards Joint Industry Programmes

IOGP Standards Solution (JIP30)

The IOGP Standards Solution continues to offer a secured environment for developing draft ISO standards in collaboration with API, NORSOK, Unified Bulk JIP and other standards developing organisations and interested parties. The work focus on development and maintenance of prioritized ISO/TC67 work items and as suggested by IOGP members.

JIP33 Phase 3

Standardization of Equipment Specifications for Procurement (JIP33)

JIP33 aims to achieve industry-level standardization to enable efficient procurement and support delivery of safe, reliable, and competitive projects and operations across the globe.

Standardization of Offshore Structures Specifications (JIP35)

Like JIP33, JIP35 aims to achieve industry-level standardization, with JIP35 focusing on offshore structures design specifications to drive reductions in upstream project costs, through a decrease in variation in requirements between operating companies.

Capital Facilities Information Handover Specification (JIP36)

CFIHOS (Capital Facilities Information Handover Specification): making information handover quicker, easier and safer for operators, contractors, equipment manufacturers and suppliers by using standardised  specifications.

Normally Unattended Facilities (JIP39)

The primary objective of this JIP is to provide funding for a Study on Codes, Standards and Regulations that may encumber the use of Normally Unattended Facilities. Funding has been secured from eight members of IOGP (BP, Chevron, Equinor, ExxonMobil, Petrobras, PETRONAS, Shell and TotalEnergies) and the study will be contracted in November 2020 to a globally recognized classification society.

Environment Joint Industry Programmes

E&P Sound & Marine Life Phase III and Phase IV (JIP22)

Under our management, this project has brought oil and gas companies and industry associations together to better characterize the sounds that our industry produces and determine the potential impacts of these sounds on marine life and thereby to improve risk assessments and mitigation.

Environment Genomics (JIP34)

The IOGP Environmental Genomics Joint Industry Programme (JIP 34) was launched in June 2019 to coordinate research aimed at exploring the application of eDNA-based analyses in environmental assessments and monitoring of oil and gas offshore and onshore operations.
