Description
Driving-related incidents have historically been the single largest cause of fatalities in IOGP Member Company operations. IOGP has been collecting motor vehicle fatality data from its Member Companies globally since 2000, and wider motor vehicle crash data since 2008. The data collected are entered into the IOGP safety database, which is the largest database of safety performance in the exploration and production industry. The data provides trend analysis, benchmarking, and the identification of areas on which efforts should be focused to bring about the greatest improvements in land transportation safety performance.
