The International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP) has collected environmental data from its member companies every year since 1998. The objective of this programme has been to allow member companies to compare their performance with other companies in the sector leading, it is hoped, to improved and more efficient performance. The annual reports produced summarize information on exploration and production (E&P) activities carried out by contributing IOGP member companies for the reporting year. The Environmental data reporting user guide (2018eu) outlines the scope (what is included and excluded), and provides definitions to assist reporting companies in compiling and classifying environmental data.
