Methane | #3 | Policy Focus and Industry Action
May 12 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm UTC+0
Part of the SPE Gaia / OGCI / IPIECA / IOGP Climate Series eSessions
Tackling methane emissions across the full natural gas value chain requires international cooperation among industries, governments, civil society and NGOs. This webinar introduces the policy context and the voluntary efforts from the O&G industry to reduce methane emissions. The session will review two of the leading initiatives for methane emission reporting (OGMP2.0) and country level target setting (GMA). In a third phase, OGCI will present its near zero intensity target by 2025, progress to date, and broader support to engage with the rest of the Natural Gas value chain to reduce methane emissions. The session concludes with a Q&A with the audience, moderated by Darcy Spady.
