IOGP Geomatics Webinar: Technical Flash for GNSS Jamming & Spoofing – definition, detection, defence

This webinar will present key insights and recommendations from IOGP’s recent Geomatics Technical Flash: ​​INFO51: GNSS interference, jamming and spoofing: definition, detection and defence​​​ (available at no cost from IOGP Publications Library). The document discusses intentional interference of GNSS data (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), an increasingly common risk in the energy industry and beyond.

Navigation and Timing (PNT) are near ubiquitous across all marine vessel activities. The webinar will appeal to offshore and onshore roles that deliver, manage or oversee seismic & survey operations, rig move & well positioning, dive support, construction & subsea installation, and asset inspection & maintenance activities. It would also be of interest to general cargo activities such as tanker and platform supply vessels. Specific roles include survey and positioning specialists, dynamic positioning operators & bridge crew, vessel management, safety and security specialists and operations management personnel.
