Description
This Report offers comprehensive guidance for conducting axial capacity assessments of flexible pipes under hydrate plug loading conditions. Given the intricate nature of hydrate loading scenarios, many methodologies have been adopted across the industry to quantify the structural capacity. The primary objective of this Report is to establish a consistent approach for analysing axial capacity, applicable o both analytical and finite element methods, for the benefit of manufacturers and operators. The Report also aims to address and mitigate uncertainties with pipe wall layer interactions, failure modes, loading conditions, input data assumptions, acceptance criteria, and safety factors.
