Description
As 15% of working-age adults are facing mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and burnout, effective support in the workplace is more important than ever. Purpose, inclusion, and diminishing psychosocial risks are legislative required and need to be integrated into health, safety, security, and environment (HSSE) interventions in the workplace. Effective leadership is key to creating healthy workplace environments that promote mental well-being for the people they work with. While there is existing research on mental health in the workplace, this Report has been developed to equip leaders with guidelines that provide evidence-based solutions to further support the mental health and well-being of employees. Leaders can apply these guidelines to enhance the positive aspects of work and reduce harm. This Report is intended for supervisors and managers as well as health and safety professionals working in the oil and gas industry.
