Description
Drill cuttings are a complex and variable waste with a variety of potential environmental impacts. The upstream industry uses many different analytical approaches and tools to model and understand impacts of drill cuttings disposal options. This Report explores the usability of Lifecycle Impact Analysis (LCIA) as a methodology to assess drill cuttings management options in a transparent, verifiable, comparable, and easily communicated way. The preliminary results presented are based on a conceptual drill cuttings management LCIA model.
