This document provides recommended practices for selecting and managing competent diving personnel, as detailed in IOGP Report 411 – Recommended practices for diving operations. Client diving personnel should meet or exceed the recommendations of this document and should demonstrate, through assessment, that they possess the knowledge and skill necessary for the role. Member operators have a responsibility to ensure that personnel representatives are empowered to succeed in their roles. The recommended practices in this document will help facilitate this success.
