Memorandum of Understanding formalizes cooperation between IOGP and Unified Bulk Standardization JIP
IOGP and the Unified Bulk Standardization Joint Industry Project (UBJIP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 1 March. It outlines a firm commitment for close collaboration and mutual support between the two organizations to achieve more standardized requirements for bulk design and material in oil & gas projects.
In a meeting at IOGP’s London headquarters, IOGP Executive Director Gordon Ballard and Tae-Jin Kim Senior Vice President Hyundai Heavy Industries (as a representative of the UBJIP Steering Committee) signed the MOU. It will bring UBJIP deliverables into standards published by international standardization bodies such as ISO and IEC.
IOGP, through its established process IOGP Standards solution, will help deliver the terms of the MOU. Working together, IOGP and the UBJIP will strengthen their ties through regular communications and agreed standardization priorities.
