Three aviation recommended practices published

IOGP is delighted to announce the publication of three aviation recommended practices.

  • IOGP Report 69x – Oil and Gas Aviation Recommended Practices (OGARP) overview
  • IOGP Report 69x-0 – Key elements of aviation management
  • IOGP Report 690 – Offshore Helicopter Recommended Practices

These Reports are all part of IOGP’s aviation safety management series: the Oil and Gas Aviation Recommended Practices, or OGARP. Developed by the Aviation Subcommittee of IOGP’s Safety Committee, the series will offer comprehensive guidance, covering all aspects of aviation operations, for companies and contractors.

IOGP Report 690 – Offshore Helicopter Recommended Practices was originally released in October 2020 and has been amended to incorporate feedback gained ‘on the ground’ from those companies and contractors that have begun implementing its contents into their own aviation management practices.

IOGP Report 69x – Oil and Gas Aviation Recommended Practices (OGARP) overview is a new document that provides an overview of why our Members determined such a series was necessary, and how it will enable superior performance in the industry and beyond.

IOGP Report 69x-0 – Key elements of aviation management was a section of IOGP’s previous guideline for aircraft management, IOGP Report 590 – Aircraft Management Guidelines. This has been enhanced to reflect the new structure of IOGP’s aviation management guidance and its recommendations will be applicable to all of the guidance in the OGARP series.

The reports are available to download from the IOGP publications library:
