Revving down: IOGP says goodbye to John Campbell

London’s Royal Automobile Club was the appropriately oil-focused venue to mark IOGP Technical Director John Campbell’s retirement from the Association after 21 years.

Commenting on how much John will be missed, Executive Director Gordon Ballard spoke of John’s “unique ability to puncture bureaucratic pomposity and officialise and make minutes of meetings as funny as they are accurate”.

As a token of appreciation, the Association presented John with new kit for his favourite hobby: birdwatching.
