IOGP welcomes Johana Dunlop as new Membership Engagement Manager
On 1 September, Johana Dunlop joined the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) as Membership Engagement Manager. In this newly created role Johana will expand the Association’s presence in the current global markets, and new markets such as in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. “I’m delighted to welcome such a high calibre industry expert to Team IOGP” said Iman Hill IOGP’s Executive Director. “Johana comes to us with a wealth of skills and experience. She has everything needed to manage the growth and continued success of our diverse and global membership portfolio.”
Johana joined the oil and gas industry in 1992 to serve as Risk Manager to several of the Schlumberger businesses. Over the next twenty years of her career, she held a number of management positions including Executive Director of the Schlumberger Foundation and Global Director of Sustainability Integration. In 2017 Johana created her consultancy Blue Walrus Sustainability Strategies to generate sustainable development through business particularly the oil and gas sector. For many years she has been active in industry initiatives particularly within the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and in 2017 was appointed to a three-year term serving on the SPE International Board as Technical Director leading the HSE and Sustainability disciplines during which tenure she founded the Safety Leadership Academy and the Gaia Sustainability Program, engaging and enabling thousands of oil and gas engineers and scientists in service of sustainable development and by extension our industry and the planet. Her sustainability experience will be a valuable asset to this new role and the new IOGP strategy serving its members.
