IOGP welcomes Flavia Sanchez as its new Chief Financial Officer
IOGP welcomes Flavia Sanchez as IOGP’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She takes over from Dianne James, who retires after thirty-seven years with IOGP, with effect from 1st October.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to join IOGP and help shape the future of the industry, and to collaborate with our talented and diverse team and Members,” says Flavia. “The oil and gas industry has great opportunities to keep evolving and develop new technologies to promote safety, lower emissions, accelerate digitalization, reduce environmental impact and increase sustainability.”
Flavia joins IOGP from ABB Group, where she has spent 14 years in multiple roles in finance and controlling, both in the global and regional organization. Previously she worked for Novartis (Switzerland) and PwC (UK) and has extensive international experience, having worked, and lived in Brazil, US and multiple EU countries. She holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi (Italy) and a law degree from Universidade de Sao Paulo (Brazil), specializing in tax and commercial law.
