IOGP to showcase good practices at Offshore Europe and World Petroleum Congress
If you are attending Offshore Europe, come and meet IOGP at stand 1E28 to talk about our key activities and good practices. These include safety, reducing equipment cost and project schedule, regulator engagement, industry alignment on emissions measurement and reduction, Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), energy efficiency, electrification, flaring and venting, hydrogen, and health, safety, and environmental data and benchmarking.
On Thursday 7 September, IOGP Safety Director Steve Norton will moderate the panel session “Industry safety: Smarter tools for increased performance” (10:00 – 11:00) which will address the likely causes for a recent deterioration of safety performance. Later that day, David Harris, Manager – JIP33 Published Specifications, will join the “Supply chain: Innovations and start-ups/financing” panel (14:00 –15:00) to discuss whether the industry’s risk appetite and new technology are consistent with available funding and the speed at which deployment is needed.
We hope you can attend the sessions and visit us at booth 1E28.
