IOGP Board of Directors Appoints Bryan W. Wesley as New Vice-Chair

Bryan W. Wesley has been appointed Vice-Chair of the Board of the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP). He joins fellow Vice-Chair, Giovanni Cristofoli, Senior Vice President, bp Solutions, Production & Operations, bp.

IOGP CEO Graham Henley said, “We are pleased to announce Bryan’s appointment as Vice-Chair. In his time on the Board, he has contributed enormously through the width and breadth of his industry experience in advancing IOGP’s mission. We look forward to his continued exemplary leadership and commitment to the organization.”

Based in Houston, Texas, in the United States, Bryan has worked for ExxonMobil for over 25 years and is currently Vice President of Upstream Operations. Prior to this role, he was Director for ExxonMobil’s Global Midstream, including Pipelines, Fuels & Aviation Terminals, Fleet, Finished Lubricant Operations & Supply Chain overseeing around 3500 personnel in approximately 30 countries.

Throughout his career, Bryan worked in various roles in ExxonMobil, including General Manager of the U.S. Upstream Conventional team with operations stretching from the north slope of Alaska to the US Gulf of Mexico, Vice President of Exxon Neftegas Limited, ExxonMobil’s former affiliate in Russia, and various other project management, engineering, operations and headquarter roles in the United States and Canada.

In addition to his role at IOGP, Bryan sponsors ExxonMobil’s Upstream Executive Women’s Network.  He has previously served on the board of Aera Energy and the API Midstream Committee, Western States Petroleum Association, and the Louisiana-Midcon Oil & Gas Association.

Bryan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.  He is also a believer in servant leadership, an avid fisherman and has been married to his soulmate (who is a graduate of the University of Texas) for over 25 years.
