Brussels office grows with addition of Communications Manager

Alessandro Torello has joined OGP as the new Communications Manager of the Brussels office. He will work closely with the communications team in London to spread OGP’s message at the core of the European Union, focusing on EU issues.

“I feel very privileged to be joining OGP: the mix of science, economics and geopolitics that characterise this industry is truly fascinating,” he says. “My priority will be to transmit this perception among people working for and around the EU,” he explains.

Alessandro worked as a journalist for over seven years, covering the transport industry in Italy for Bloomberg and then energy and climate issues for Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal in Brussels.

He has a background in international relations, with a degree from the School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C.

“Energy is a perfect lens to interpret international relations,” he says.
