The energy industry has long recognised that promoting standardization is a fundamental mechanism for improving efficiency and safety. Why reinvent the wheel when proven solutions already exist that can improve key business metrics?
The IOGP Geomatics Committee plays a strong role in this space – developing and maintaining geospatial data models, position data exchange formats, recommended practice guidelines, and technical specifications for offshore survey and positioning systems.
Through a curated series of presentations from IOGP, operators, partners, and suppliers, the 14th Geomatics Industry Day will showcase how Committee products are being applied across the sector, and how they support IOGP Geomatics core priorities: enabling safe and efficient operations, ensuring accurate and trusted data, and supporting a lower carbon future.
IOGP’s 14th Geomatics Industry Day – an online event – is scheduled for 9th December 2025
Presenters will share real-world examples of how the Geomatics Committee flagship deliverables have been embedded into their organisations’ core business to enhance safety, improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and to deliver better value through higher-quality data. We’ll also highlight recent advances in the EPSG global geodetic registry – the foundation of reliable, interoperable geospatial data across the industry.
The event will comprise one half day sessions covering spatial data integrity and operational efficiency and safety.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how IOGP Geomatics Committee solutions are providing a foundation for safe, efficient operations and trusted geospatial data management across the energy sector.
