
Alexander van Hulle joined on 1st April as a Policy Officer, dealing mainly with sustainable finance topics. Prior to this, he worked in ExxonMobil as the EU Public and Government Affairs Analyst dealing with EU policy regulations with a focus on low-emission technologies and chemicals. Alexander holds a Masters’ degree in EU Politics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and Masters’ degree in Strategic Communication from University of Missouri.
In January/February, Julie MacNamara and Emils Lagzdins also joined the Policy Team. Julie works on Marine and Environmental issues, while Emils works mainly on CCUS, EU ETS, and methane emissions.
Julie has a Bachelor’s degree in Law (International) from University College Cork. After, she studied a Masters in Energy and Climate Law at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Before joining IOGP, she completed several internships as a legal intern and a legal research internship at the Environmental Protection Agency in Ireland.
Emils holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies and Energy Security from the University of Aberdeen, and a certificate from the Duke University in Oil and Gas Industry Operations and Markets. Before joining IOGP, he completed a year-long traineeship in The European Commission’s Directorate for Energy (DG ENER) where he gained experience in developing and coordinating the implementation of EU energy relations with third countries.
