Description

IOGP Report 2011s

Assess the safety performance of the global E&P industry in 2011, through leading performance indicators

The purpose of these reports is to present the health and safety performance of the global E&P industry in 2011. For the first time this will include health leading performance indicators. These allow OGP members and others to compare the E&P industry safety performance to that of previous years and benchmark their performance against other companies, different E&P activities and different regions of the world. The key safety indicators used in the report are: number of fatalities, fatal accident rate, fatal incident rate, lost time injury frequency and total recordable injury rate. The report presents global results for these indicators, which are then analysed by region, function and company. The performance of both companies and their associated contractors is reported. Wherever practicable, results are presented graphically; the data underlying the charts are presented in Appendix B. Fatal incident and high potential event descriptions previously included in this report as appendices are now available for download separately.
