IOGP Report 331

Explore guidelines on minimum standards for HSE governance in joint ventures

IPIECA/OGP members support an oil and gas industry initiative to work to continually improve the management of HSE risk in their operations. To further this aim, IPIECA/OGP members seek to continually improve the management of HSE Risk in their own operations, to confirm to partners that HSE Management Systems are in place in those Joint Ventures that they operate, and will likewise seek the adoption of similar practices in other partnerships. In the interests of promoting an oil and gas industry wide approach, these guidelines are recommended as the minimum, recognising the need to comply with applicable local law requirements, and individual IPIECA/OGP members may wish to expand upon these guidelines as they consider appropriate. It is recommended that these guidelines be applicable to all staff, contractors and subcontractors engaged by Joint Ventures (JVs). The guiding principle is to encourage an HSE performance and reporting discipline. Please contact IPIECA for hard copies
