A diving system fit for purpose: IOGP publishes recommended practices

Before sending any divers beneath the surface, a responsible company wants to know that any proposed contractor system in place will work safely in line with existing industry standards.

To help provide that confidence, IOGP recently published Diving System Assurance recommended practice (Report 468).   This gives a clear understanding of client expectations and also focuses on the actual process of assurance monitoring.  The recommended practices enable companies to assess a diving system before awarding any contract and then to follow-up with annual reviews once a contract is in place.
